I Am Alive follows an everyman’s journey to find his wife and daughter, who were lost during the “Event.” A year later, he finds Haventon, his hometown, in shambles. Buildings are destroyed, toxic ash fills the streets and society has been torn, causing inhabitants to take all necessary actions to survive.

Time for the snapshot of week 3, 2012! List of changes, since 1.1 last week:
•    Ladders regained their collision box, and vines are climbable when they have a solid block behind them
•    Added jungle biome (requires a new world) with new tree and leaf types
•    Updated language files
•    Dispensers will place mobs instead of releasing the spawner egg
•    Zombies have new path-finding AI
•    Wolves have new AI and can be bred (when tame)

RockPaperShotgun, make this problem public and since then they’ve had a response from Ubisoft.

“Just wanted to let you know, that we now remove the graphics hardware from the hash used to identify the PC,” said Ubisoft, in a message to the user who filed the initial complaint. “That means everyone should now be able to switch the GFX as many times as he/she wants.”

According to DigiTime’s source Samsung are working on chips since Novermeber and Sharp is to be producing the displays for the TV’s. The displays of the new devices will at first be 32inch or 27inch says the supply chain.

Unlike the Apple TV boxes the Apple iTV’s will be full TV sets.

Rumours of iTV have been floating around since Apple Founder Steve Jobs passed away in October, who said in his autobiography that he had “finally cracked” the TV space.

“I’d like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use,” he said. “It would be seamlessly synched with all of your devices and with iCloud. It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine.”

On the UK side, we’ll be doing the usual news, reviews and articles with some exciting website development going on. Now everyone’s awake again the web team are starting the coding in full force – the exciting new design, logo’s and features will really boost the experience readers have with the site and we can’t wait to show you more. It’s a big job and we expect it to be online Mid to late January.

The UK podcast studio will be back online with TGH’s new podcast yet to be named – but it’s going to be a good. We’ll also be working on more video content this year, from ‘lets plays’ to event coverage and recorded arguments.

The 2011 TGH awards will open soon, you’ll find a link here when it up. They’ll finish when the new site is online, more details will be posted when we know ourselves.

It’s all looking pretty exciting.

This Christmas time when the cold winds are blowing and the inevitable sleet storm comes a knocking I’ll be hunkered down in my warm gaming fortress trying to forget about the cold chill outside. You know how I’ll be forgetting about it? Skyrim. Yes I’ll be using my fear of being cold by playing about in some virtual snow, safe in the knowledge that I can’t feel the cold and that a pursuing dragon, that’ll probably be flying backwards, will succumb to my superior blade skills. Alternatively I’ll be staving off that winter blues by enjoying a spot of Oddworld: Strangers Wrath HD, having already finished it off I enjoyed it so much that the wild west of the Oddworld universe needs a revisit almost instantly, but maybe I can hold off for a few weeks longer and fill my time with the joys of PixelJunk Sidescroller. Essentially there are just too many games around right now that I need to spend my Christmas break playing, heck if the right offer comes along I might even venture outside and spend the holidays with family and friends.

 

Not planning to do much this Christmas. I’m planning purely to visit the

parents in Eastbourne and Reigate, catch up with friends, and finally see

one of my oldest friends play a concert in Eastbourne Town centre. Short,

sweet, and oh so enjoyable

I plan on spending my holidays over-eating Christmas food and getting

deeper and deeper into the magical world that is Skyrim, mostly at the same

time. I will also be scrounging it up as I count all my money to see if I

Can afford going to Gamescom next year for this lovely website.

Christmas plans for myself are plain and simple. Staying in New York with

the family and having a few friends visit and spread the cheer. Opening

gifts on Christmas Eve and taking photos of Alice opening her presents with

glee. Shortly after, taking photos of me faking reactions as I already know

what I am getting . Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a joyful

New Year.

Well it’s the most magical time of the year again. Even more so this year as I’ve had to work the last 4 Christmas days so I’ve never really been able to exercise my drinking habits to their fullest degree – much of my time spent over the festive period will involve drinking and eating. Lots. I’ve two full weeks off before starting my new job so plan to take full advantage of it! 2011 has been an awesome year for me so I’m hoping to build on the success and make 2012 and even better year!

My Christmas plans are quite plain and simple. I will be spending time

with my family and friends. I will also be planning for future trips for

the year of 2012 (TGS, PAX, and such). For those fellow viewers who watch

our Live Stream channel, I will continue streaming during the Christmas

Holiday. Have a great and safe Christmas and New Year everyone.

It’s almost Christmas again and just like last year I have a couple of

plans for the holidays.  My main plan is to come back to many games I

haven’t gotten a chance to play over the year as much as I would want to.

Games such as Skyrim, Yakuza 4, Battlefield 3, Mw3 and some more have

barely even been touched by me and I’m really excited to dig into these

titles over the holiday period.

 

I also plan on picking up a few games for myself that I have missed out on this year such as Batman Arkham City, and Rayman Origins. As most people I plan on spending Christmas Day with my family, and also probably, the 26th to. I also plan on heading out on New Year’s Eve with a couple of friends. Anyway, Merry Christmas to everyone! And Have a great end to the year!

Joining the team in what was probably my least active year in terms of

games played, a mix of college work and online PC games got the better of

my time management. My neglected Xbox was sold off in favor of a disappointing 3DS

which shared the same fate. During our downtime I plan to pick up and play

as many of the great games that have never graced my Wii.

Xenoblade, Murumasa, Monster Hunter and all the other little gems

people seem to completely ignore these days. The WiiU is the only

confirmed next-gen console with a general release window. The Wii is on its

last legs, sure they were not very strong for the hardcore to begin with, but after

6 years of good sales, the little white box has a good amount of amazing

titles and I’m going to try my best to play them. Think of it as a new year’s resolution. hopefully my goal will lead to a lot of quality articles for the return of TheGamersHub.

 

This Christmas is actually the first holiday that I will be spending with my family in a few years. Last year I was in North Carolina, and the couple years before that I opted to spend it with others. I haven’t actually had any holidays with my family in awhile, so I’m pretty excited. Food and presents is my primary interest this year. Not presents for myself though, but the things that I’ve gotten for others.

 

I got my recently newlywed father and his wife a couples gift, and for my little sister I got clothes and accessories (duh). I decided to get my grandmother one of those Bath & Body Works holiday sets where it’s a lotion and some soap in a little clawfoot tub – she has one like that so I thought she’d think it was cute. My boyfriend got a videogame and a holder that he can put his iPod in while he’s driving. He has one of those protein shakers and I always call it his sippy cup, so as a gag I went to Walmart and bought him a dollar non-spill baby’s sippy cup. His reaction was priceless. We’re all going to go to my aunt’s house and she always has enough food to feed a small country (I should see how the inhabitants of Tropico 4 are doing).

 

I’ve cooked Italian food the past two nights so I think if we get there and my dad sees anything with pasta, tomato sauce and cheese he’s going to have a heart attack. I’m really hoping for a chocolate mousse pie, personally. Then I will finish off the night at home watching anime – recommendations are welcome. Happy holidays!
