5 Reasons why BF:BC2 is better than MW2
With Battlefield: Bad Company 2 nearing release and with over 3.5 million downloads for the multiplayer demo alone, the game looks to be a big contender for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Here are 5 reasons that might make Battlefield: Bad Company 2 better than MW2.
- SOUND QUALITY
The Sound in Battlefield Bad Company 2 is stellar to say the least. From the firing of guns to cannons fire off in the distance, the sound quality is just awesome and MW2 does not even come close. I could be half way across the map and hear an explosion from the distance without even being near. When I am playing Modern Warfare 2 and someone is firing a gun or an explosion erupts across a map, I won’t be able to hear it. The top quality sound effect demonstarted in BC2 really add to the authenticity and intensity of combat.
- BIGGER ENVIRONMENTS
When I played in both the beta and Demo I was like “WOW these are really big environments.” Ever since the first Battlefield: Bad Company came out I always liked how big the environments were. Modern Warfare 2 has some but, nothing special that will blow your mind. Ever since people have playing the Battlefield they have praised the open areas, but with advancements in gaming technology, this effect is only broadened. I can see half way across the map with the scope of a sniper rifle and still see enemies coming to the next point. DICE did a great job on the environment and how natural it feels to be on the playing field. Modern Warfare 2 might have good graphics, but without a broad enough taste in environment, it does little to stand against Bad Company.
- EVERYTHING MUST BLOW UP!
When I heard that DICE was making a Battlefield title in which you could blow up anything, I didn’t believe it. When the first Battlefield: Bad Company came out, the element of destructible environments was fantastic. Now in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 they make that destruction 10x times better, with more noticeable damage to surfaces, and ways to blow things up. Modern Warfare 2 doesn’t have any destruction, like taking down a whole building with a C4 charge. Modern Warfare 2 gets a little boring when the terrain and structures are static with little change throughout battles. With Battlefield: Bad Company 2 the environment is ever-changing and nothing stay the same, meaning a possible solution to infamous campers.
- BETTER GAME ENGINE
When I compare both of the game engines, the Frostbite 2.0 can contain more objects and targets on screen as apposed to the IW engine. With the IW engine, the game isn’t always reliable, with the occasion pop-in and tears during gameplay. Even when Online Battlefield: Bad Company 2‘s performance withstands the multiplayer chaos. In Modern Warfare 2 however, too much action happening in a confined space will lead to a dramatic slip in frame rate, in some instances making the game momentarily un-playable.
- ONLINE
Between both online components Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare 2 have much in common, but Battlefield Bad Company 2 wins here. The game modes are unique and fun to play, unlike Modern Warfare 2 boring 5 year game modes that date back to the first Unreal Tournament and Call of Duty titles. Though Modern Warfare 2 has demonstarted more in-depth customisation options and reward schemes, BC2 has also done the same, though classes are more distinct and balanced. Bad Company 2 has already received a private and public beta, allowing DICE to buff out the flaws before its release. On the other hand, MW2 skipped beta testing, resulting in strings of patches being launched almost every week to fix the problems occuring.
FINALLY
Now with the Top 5 Reason Battlefield Bad Company 2 is better than Modern Warfare 2 covered, you can comment on it if you like, good or bad, I don’t care but, keep it clean. I will also be posting a Top 5 Reason Modern Warfare 2 is better than Battlefield Bad Company 2 soon, so that both sides of the story are there to look at. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is coming March 2, 2010 and Modern Warfare 2 is out now if you haven’t already picked it up.

I wish the mouse wasn’t so sluggish in BC2, but in EVERY OTHER CONCEIVABLE way it stomps the soul out of MW2. I’m a CoD fanboy. I played cod1 religiously ’till CoD4 came out. That being said – BC2 has dedicated servers. Good shot registry. Realism. Kit balance. BC2 is fun, where MW2 is nothing but a frustrating mass of steaming crap that makes me–the first game ever–completely, totally regret buying it.
My hat is off to DiCE/EA on this one. \m/

Pretty much everyone here who says COD is better is most likely only saying that because they suck at BF:BC2 because they can’t camp as easily in BF:BC2 as they can in MW2 and they can’t use their stupid killstreaks to kill half the people on the other team. =/

Alright, i agree with you. BC2 is a game that is so easy to get back into because it is real fun. All you guys who say nah i have no reasoning that makes sense MW2 is just better, shut up your the people who bitch about guns being n00b that only you and some of your retard friends can’t get a kill with. Your the problem with MW2. now i am going to tell my experience. BC2 spawn killing is when your team can’t hold an area which gets hard to do. MW2 spawn killing is when people control spawn points and get a chopper gunner or ac130. MW2 made it way easier to spawn kill and it entices campers with kill streaks that make the game unfair. also the maps have a one play style feel. You really you just need to hold out one area to win. BC2 the maps make it fair. one map attackers get the high ground then later one the defenders get the high ground. this kinda of map design keeps the game balanced and allows more action packed moments. So all you fan boys and i mean all don’t just look at the game look at how people play. Also don’t call a gun n00b until you actually used and got over 10 kills with it.

okay really, imo BF:BC2 owns MW2, me and my friend bought MW2 and yeah the singleplayer is intense and epic, but what more is there to it? the multiplayer is filled with campers, killstreak abusings, and cheaters, we enjoyed playing it when we played it because we hadn’t tried BF:BC and later on BF:BC2 then i got BF:BC2 and yeah the graphics might be worse. and so what?! graphics aren’t everything, here’s an example: u play a game where u can do what ever you want, but the game have bad graphics, then u play a game with incredible graphics, but u can only walk around a city and watch the graphics, that backs up my teory.. GRAPHICS are for the look not to stear the whole game ffs?! so imo BF:BC2 beats MW2 by miles, in MW2 all u do is watch ur own ass (booring) in BF:BC2 it’s all about teamwork, and the match changes, like maybe sometimes the RU are having the highest ground, but then it might change to US having it. so end of disscussion, BF:BC2 is best.. feel free to troll me, but you know that i am right

BC2 is a much better game but i find it so hard to argue with my friends about it because they always pull the same thing “MW2 is more popular then BC2 so how could BC2 be better.” pretty sad…

hey, i am back with more proof that BF:BC2 is better than MW2
okay here we go, in mw2 you can’t do a shit, the maps are small or medium only purpose is to shoot and hope you don’t die, cause that would be sooooooo fucking bad for ur k/d ratio wouldn’t it? crybabies.. nd you can’t change anything in the map.. in BF:BC2 you can form the map to your advantage, for example lets say alot of sniper are sitting in a building pinning all your teammates down making it a hard time pushing forward, then one of your teammates might sneak forward and plant some c4 on the building, and if placed properly the building will collapse, traping the snipers inside, that is just 1 aspect, lets see you are in a level with alot of forest, and you can’t seem to find any snipers, but you can hear the bullets flying past your ears all the time, then get a machine gun or a tank or something and destroy all the trees to make the level easier to overcome, another thing is that you can make covers out of just dirt, let’s say you have a sniper trying to pin you down and a tank right besides you blow up, the explosion will leave a trench (just like the real world :O surprisingly xD ) but then you could either use that trench as cover or you could use whatever exploting things you might have (c4, grenades, 40mm grenadelauncher etc.) to dig the trench deeper, and safer.. can you do any of these things in MW2? no, which is 1 more fact that it is a bad game compared to BF:BC2 if you think that this post is not enoguh to convince you in that BF:BC2 is better then read my other post (#40) and get some eyeopening.. that’s all for today guys.. thanks for watching and cya next friday ( hahaha have always wanted to say that xD and no i won’t be on this forum next friday, the text is jsut for the effect lol xD)

You could not be more wrong. I’ve played the heck out of the cod games. You’ve got a 1.91 KD in MW2? I currently hold 2.08 and stopped to play BFBC2. BF is a team game with immense realism and fun. Knives aren’t a toy, maps are real large pieces of land, and teamwork is necessary to win. I think you didn’t give this game a shot. It’s not MW2, you can’t throw on lightweight and marathon and get tactical knife kills….Just like nobody in any army does that. No, I’m not shitty at MW2, I’ll take you anyday. My point is, you must like unrealistic arcade games that can be played solo, and not fun team based strategy shooters that require a team to succeed.
