New DSi XL Launch Date Announced
Nintendo have finally revealed the date when they’re going to release the New Nintendo DSi XL. This date is the 5th March.
After the coverage of the console in Japan, the newer, bigger version of the already popular console is set to be a big hit.
The DSi XL offers 2 4.2 inch screens (which are 93% bigger than the screens on the DS lite) and also comes with a larger pen-like stylus, which is to make it more comfortable and better to control.
Nintendo have also highlighted the wider viewing angle, seemingly angled at making sharing games or content easier.
The new handheld will launch in wine red and dark brown with, what Nintendo call, ‘A glossy sheen on top and a matte finish on the underside that provides excellent grip when resting on a table or other surface during gameplay’. It does seem that they’ve thought of everything, maybe a bit too hard.
It will arrive pre loaded with ‘dictionary 6 in 1 with a camera function’ and ‘Dr Kawashima’s: little bit of brain training: Arts edition.’
Pricing has yet to be confirmed, but Nintendo said in October ‘the retail price of the Nintendo DSi XL is expected to be higher than that if the Nintendo DSi.’
